Introduction
The fifth sensor is the ‘ drive arm open’ sensor. This sensor is located within the drive arm
mechanism. When the drive arm is set to the open position for leading of media reels, this
sensor is activated (see diagram 2.8d). When the sensor is active, the labeler will be unable to
perform a calibration sequence until the drive arm is set in the closed position. Once closed the
sensor will go off and a calibration sequence can now be performed.
