Before removing the system board, follow these steps:
1. Prepare the computer for disassembly (Preparation for disassembly on page 29).
2. Remove the bottom cover (Bottom cover on page 29).
3. Disconnect the battery cable from the system board (see Battery on page 30).
4. Remove the audio board (see Audio board on page 39).
When you replace the system board, be sure to remove the following components (as applicable) from the
defective system board and install them on the replacement system board:
● Solid-state drive (see Solid-state drive on page 32).
● Heat sink and fan assembly (Heat sink and fan assembly on page 36).
Remove the system board:
1. Disconnect the following cables from the system board:
● Display cable (ZIF) (1)
● WLAN antennas (2)
● Display cable (3)
● USB board cable (ZIF) (4)
● Keyboard backlight cable (ZIF) (5)
● Extend cable (ZIF) (6)
● Speakers (7)
