2. Remove the bottom cover (see Bottom cover on page 41).
3. Disconnect the battery cable from the system board (see Battery on page 43).
Remove the audio jack:
1. Release the zero insertion force (ZIF) connector (1) to which the audio jack cable is connected, and then
disconnect the cable from the system board.
2. Remove the Phillips M2.0 × 2.5 screw (2) that secures the audio jack to the computer.
3. Remove the audio jack (3) from the computer.
Reverse this procedure to install the audio jack.
Connector board cable
To remove the connector board cable, use this procedure and illustration.
NOTE: The connector board cable is included in the Cable Kit, spare part number N09289-001.
Before removing the connector board cable, follow these steps:
1. Prepare the computer for disassembly (see Preparation for disassembly on page 41).
2. Remove the bottom cover (see Bottom cover on page 41).
3. Disconnect the battery cable from the system board (see Battery on page 43).
4. Remove the audio jack (see Audio jack on page 50).
Remove the connector board cable:
1. Release the ZIF connector (1) to which the connector board cable is connected, and then disconnect the
cable from the system board.
2. Release the ZIF connector (2) to which the connector board cable is connected, and then disconnect the
cable from the connector board.
