3. Remove the connector board cable from the computer (3).
Reverse this procedure to install the connector board cable.

To remove the connector board, use this procedure and illustration.

Before removing the connector board, follow these steps:
1. Prepare the computer for disassembly (see Preparation for disassembly on page 41).
2. Remove the bottom cover (see Bottom cover on page 41).
3. Disconnect the battery cable from the system board (see Battery on page 43).
4. Remove the audio jack (see Audio jack on page 50).
5. Remove the connector board cable (see Connector board cable on page 51).
Remove the connector board:
1. Release the WWAN module antenna cables from the retention clips (1) and routing channels (2) that are
built into the cable retainer.
2. Remove the ve Phillips M2.0 × 2.5 screws (3) that secure the cable retainer and I/O bracket to the
computer.
3. Remove the cable retainer (4) and I/O bracket (5) from the computer.
The cable retainer is included in the Plastics Kit, spare part number N09286-001. The I/O bracket is included
in the Bracket Kit, spare part number N09285-001.
