10.2 Mechanical Light Leakage

st, the ambient illumination must be less than 10 lux. Withadark (no video)
image, there shall benoareas ofvisibleillumination/light leakage(excludingpixel defectsspecified
separately).
10.3 Allowabl
eDefects
No cosmetic defectsare allowed exceptthose specified below. The conditions ofvisual inspectionsare as
follows:
Viewing distanceis to be approximately 35 cm.
Ambient illumination is to
be 300 to 500 lux.
Viewingangle range shall be 70-110 degreeshorizontal and 80-100 degreesvertical.
Defects not apparent within one minute shall beignored.
10.4 Defect Limits
Table 3lists the countable and rejectable s
izesfor e ach typeofcommonly found defe cts. Defectswithin the countable size
are allowed;however, the total number o fcountabledefects shall not exceed the maximum number ofallcountabledefects
noted in thetable
. Any defect with dimensionsgreater thanthe countabledefect shall be sufficient cause forrejecting the
display. The symbols u sed are: D = Diameter,L=Length (longestdimension),W=Width (perpendi
cular to the length), N =
Number or Count, Spot = Contamination, S = Separation from EdgetoEdge, Dot = Subpixelstuck on/o ff (e lectrical).
