2. Remove the two Phillips M2.0 × 4.0 screws (2) that secure the fan to the computer, and then remove the
fan from the computer (3).
Reverse this procedure to install the fan assembly.

Before removing the heat sink, follow these steps:
1. Prepare the computer for disassembly (see Preparation for disassembly on page 29).
2. Remove the bottom cover (see Bottom cover and rubber feet on page 29).
3. Disconnect the battery cable from the system board (see Battery on page 31).
Remove the heat sink:
1. Remove tape from the heat sink (1).
2. In the order indicated on the heat sink, remove the four Phillips M2.0 × 3.0 screws (2) that secure the
heat sink to the computer.
