System board
NOTE: All system board spare part kits include replacement thermal material.
All system boards use the following part numbers:
xxxxxx-001: Non-Windows operating systems
xxxxxx-601: Windows operating system

Before removing the system board, follow these steps:
1. Turn o the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is o or in Hibernation, turn the
computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system.
2. Disconnect the power from the computer by unplugging the power cord from the computer.
3. Disconnect all external devices from the computer.
4. Remove the following components:
a. Bottom cover (see Bottom cover on page 33)
b. Battery (see Battery on page 34)
c. Hard drive (see Hard drive on page 37)
d. Solid-state drive (see Solid-state drive on page 39)
e. WWAN module (see WLAN module on page 42)
f. WLAN module (see WWAN module on page 40)
g. Memory modules (see Memory on page 35)
h. Keyboard (see Keyboard on page 43)
i. Internal frame (see Internal frame on page 47)
Remove the system board:
IMPORTANT: Make special note of each screw size and location during removal and replacement
