Fan cowling
Follow these steps to remove the fan cowling:
1. Prepare the computer for disassembly (see Preparation for disassembly on page 23).
2. Remove the access panel (see Access panel on page 24).
3. Remove the drive cage (see Drive cage on page 28).
4. Position the computer with the rear panel toward you.
5. Disconnect the power supply cable (1) from the system board.
6. Release the power supply cable from the four retention clips (2) built into the fan cowling.
7. Spread the fan cowling retention tabs (3).
8. Remove the fan cowling (4).
Reverse this procedure to install the fan cowling.
