CAUTION: To prevent damage to the equipment, be sure that the server is powered down, all
cables are disconnected from the back of the server, and the power cord is disconnected from
the grounded (earthed) AC outlet before installing devices.
CAUTION: To prevent damage to electrical components, properly ground the server before
beginning any installation procedure. Improper grounding can cause electrostatic discharge.
PCI-X Hot Plug mezzanine cabling
The server supports an optional PCI-X Hot Plug mezzanine board that provides hot-plug capability for two
expansion slots. A ribbon cable connects the PCI-X Hot Plug button to the PCI-X Hot Plug mezzanine
board.
CAUTION: When routing cables, always be sure that the cables are not in a position where
they can be pinched or crimped.
