Press down firmly until the processor installation tool clicks and separates from the processor, and
then remove the processor installation tool.
9. Close the processor socket retaining bracket and the processor retaining latch.
10. Install the heatsink. See the server installation sheet.
11. Install the access panel.
Installing a processor in HP ProLiant ML110 (G2, G3, and G4)
and ProLiant ML150 Generation 2 Servers
CAUTION: To prevent possible server malfunction and damage to the equipment, do not mix
single- and dual-core processors or processors with different speeds or cache sizes.
1. Power down the server (on page 6).
2. Extend the server from the rack, if applicable.
