Installing a processor in HP ProLiant ML110 Generation 5
Servers
The server uses an embedded PPM as a DC-to-DC converter to provide the proper power to the processor.
To install the component:
1. Power down the server (on page 6).
2. Extend the server from the rack.
3. Remove the access panel ("Access panel" on page 6).
4. Open the processor retaining latch and the processor socket retaining bracket.
5. Remove the processor socket protective cover.
