Follow these steps to remove the solid state drive (SSD):
1. Shut down the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is o or in hibernation, turn the
computer on, then shut it down through the operating system.
2. Disconnect all external devices connected to the computer.
3. Disconnect the power from the computer by rst unplugging the power cord from the AC outlet and then
unplugging the AC adapter from the computer.
4. Remove the top cover (see Top Cover on page 14).
5. Remove the fans (see Fans on page 16).
6. Remove the antenna (see Antennas on page 18).
7. Remove the battery (see Battery on page 19).
8. Peel back and lift the Mylar from the SSD.
9. Remove the phillips screw securing the SSD (1) and remove the SSD (2).
Reverse this procedure to install the SSD.
