Important
This white paper contains the information necessary to upgrade any of the P2000 G3 MSA controller-based systems to an HPE MSA 1040 or
2040/2042 array or to convert protocols on the HPE MSA 1040 or 2040/2042 arrays. Most of the steps are the same regardless which storage
system you are upgrading from. If an instruction applies to only one or two of the original host protocols, you will see [fc], [i], or [sa] at the
beginning of the instruction.
Important
The instructions in this document show how to record settings using the legacy Version 2 of the HPE Storage Management Utility (SMU).
Refer to the SMU Reference Guide for using the virtualized Version 3 SMU or converting back to the Version 2 SMU. The instructions in this
document to re-enter settings use Version 3 of the SMU to take advantage of features only available for that version of the interface.
The following screenshots illustrate how to navigate to the Version 2 interface from the Version 3 login by clicking the button to Click to
launch previous version, and to navigate to the Version 3 interface from the Version 2 login by clicking the button to Click to launch
newer version of this application.
