To add a wireless network
1. On the Home screen, slide to the Settings tab and then tap Menu
> All Settings.

Tap Connections > Wi-Fi > Adaptor and Networks. The Wi-Fi
screen then opens.

Tap Add New (or Menu > Add New) and enter the details for
connecting to the wireless network.
To set your phone to turn off Wi-Fi automatically
Wi-Fi quickly consumes battery power. Manually turn off Wi-Fi when
not in use. You can also set your phone to automatically turn off Wi-Fi
after a specified timeout period.

On the Home screen, slide to the Settings tab and then tap Menu
> All Settings.

Tap Connections > Wi-Fi > Adaptor and Networks.
3.
On the Wi-Fi screen, tap Menu > Advanced.
4.
Select the timeout period for automatically turning off Wi-Fi
when your phone is not connected to any wireless network.
