Storage card encryption
You can encrypt files on your storage card to protect your files. Storage
card encryption doesn't reformat or erase your card. Storage card files
encrypted on the phone can be used only on the phone.
§ Set a lock screen PIN or password before encrypting your data.
§ Fully charge the battery and keep HTC One max connected to the
power adapter during encryption.
§ Only files added to the storage card after enabling encryption will
be encrypted. Existing files will not be encrypted.
1. Go to Settings, and then tap Storage.
2. Tap File level SD card encryption
3. Tap Encrypt.
4. Enter the lock screen PIN or password, and tap Next.
5. Tap Encrypt.
Encryption starts and the progress is displayed. The storage card will be
unavailable during encryption.
You can stop encrypting new files by clearing the File level SD card
encryption option. Previously encrypted files will remain encrypted. To
access these files, you must enable File level SD card encryption again.
