The icons below the text box enable you to switch between different input
methods. Select the icon corresponding to the input method you want to
highlight the icon in blue. Write indicates the handwriting mode. abc
indicates the input method for lower-case letters. (To switch to the input
method for upper-case letters, tap Aa.) 123,.? indicates the input method for
digits and symbols.
Handwriting Mode
When you are using the handwriting mode, you can enter text directly by tapping the
touchscreen using the stylus or your finger. When the icon of the handwriting mode is
highlighted in blue (
) below the text box, candidate Chinese characters will
appear automatically on the screen. You can tap
or to go to the previous or the
next page, and tap
to delete the character immediately to the left of the cursor.
Input Method for Letters
Tap below the text box to highlight the icon in blue. In this way, the input
method is switched to the one for lower-case letters.
When you are using the input method for lower-case letters, you can perform the
following operations:

Tap the button that carries the letter you want to enter.
