Muting a Call
During a call, you can mute the microphone so that the other party on the other end of
the line cannot hear you. This function allows you to have a private conversation with
someone near you.

To mute the microphone, press during a call. The icon then appears on the
LCD.
z
To unmute the microphone, press again. The icon then disappears from
the LCD.

Creating a Contact
Using the Contact menu
Step 1
Press

in standby mode.

Press the up or down navigation key to select
New contact

Enter a name that you want to use. For the method of entering a name, see
"Input Methods" on page 64.
Step 5
Press the down navigation key to move the cursor to the number field, and
then enter the phone number.
Step 6
Press the down navigation key to highlight the line with the icon
, and then
press the left or right navigation key to select a ringtone to accompany the
number. Every time you select a ringtone, the handset sings the ringtone
accordingly.
Step 7
Use the same method to select the wallpaper. Then select
SAVE
to save the
settings.
Directly entering the phone number in standby mode
Enter a phone number in standby mode, and then select
SAVE
. Then perform Step 4 to
Step 7 described in "Using the Contact menu."
