Remote Replication
This operation enables you to switch the roles of the primary and secondary resources of a
remote replication pair. The data synchronization direction changes as the primary/secondary
relationship changes.
Prerequisites

switchover is not added to a consistency group.
l Primary/Secondary switchover can be performed when synchronous remote replication
is in the following states:
Pair Running Status is Normal, Secondary Resource Data Status is
Synchronized, and Status of Secondary Resource Protection is Read-only.
Pair Running Status is Split, Secondary Resource Data Status is Consistent,
and Status of Secondary Resource Protection is Read/Write.
l Primary/Secondary switchover can be performed when asynchronous remote replication
is in the following states: Pair Running Status is Split, Secondary Resource Data
Status is Consistent, and Status of Secondary Resource Protection is Read/Write.
