4.1 Function Module

run indicator (green)


Off: The function
module has no
power input or is
faulty.

Blinking fast (4 Hz):
The function module
fails to communicate
with upstream
monitoring
equipment.
1. Verify the power input to the
function module and the
cable connections.
2. Verify that the function
module communications
cable is correctly connected
and the upstream monitoring
equipment works properly.
3. Replace the function module.

Check whether the
alarm indicator
(yellow) is off.

Blinking slowly:
There is an alarm.

Steady on: The
function module has
generated an alarm
(AC power failure or
PV array fault).
Handle the alarm based on the
alarm type (see 5 Alarms and
Troubleshooting).

Check whether the
fault indicator (red)
is off.

Blinking slowly:
The function module
has an external fault.

Steady on: The
function module has
an internal fault.
1. Handle the alarm based on
the alarm type (see 5 Alarms
and Troubleshooting).
2. Replace the function module.
