The meanings of the indicators on 4FSX/4FXO/4E&M are shown in the following table:

Indicator Meaning
Yellow lamp Off means the channel is idle. On means the channel is occupied and a conversation is going on.
Green lamp
Off means the channel is idle. On means the channel is occupied and the speech channel is
being connected.
0 - 3 Corresponding port number.
8.12.5 Interface Cable
The external interface of 4FXS/4FXO/4E&M is a standard RJ-45 connector. The cable
for 4FXS/4FXO is a standard analog telephone cable, both ends of which are RJ-11
connectors. The cable for 4E&M needs to be selected according to the type of switch to
be connected.
When you select to install 4FXS, connect the other end of the cable to the ordinary
analog telephone set.
When you select to install 4FXO, connect the other end of the cable to the subscriber
line of the switch, or the external line as we often call it.
When you select to install 4E&M, connect the other end of the cable to the E&M trunk
cable of the switch.
Caution:
The 4FXS/4FXO/4E&M cables are not supplied together with 4FXS/4FXO/4E&M module, and shall be
purchased by the user.
8.12.6 Connecting Interface Cable
Step 1: Plug one end of the cable to the RJ-45 interface in 4FXS/4FXO/4E&M;
Step 2: Please connect the other end of the cable to the following equipment:

When you install 4FXS, connect the other end of the cable to the ordinary analog
telephone set.
