First remove the old fuel lter from the tank unit
using special tool 502 50 83-01.

Pull the fuel hose out of the tank and pull off the
lter.

Fit the new fuel lter and feed the fuel hose back
into position.
7.20 Replacing the fuel hose
The fuel hose is moulded and can only be removed
from outside of the fuel tank.
Use suitable pliers with a plain cutting face and
loosen the hose (B) (see gure 46) from the fuel
tank. Align the cut-out against the plastic pin when
assembling.
7.21 Replacing the air-purge
Dismantling
1. Dismantle the cylinder cover and the air lter.
2. Loosen the screws (A). (see gure 29)
3. Loosen the lter holder from the rubber moun-
tings (B). (see gure 29)
4. Loosen the suction hose (C) and return hose
from the fuel pump. (see gure 30)
Assembling
1. Fit the return hose on the fuel pump.
2. Assemble the lter holder in the rubber moun-
tings. (B) (see gure 41)
3. Snap the purge into the lter holder. (see gure
50)
4. Secure the screws (A) (see gure 41)
5. Assemble the air lter and cylinder cover.
NOTE!
Do not use knurled pliers to disconnect or
reconnect the fuel hose. This could dam-
age the hose and lead to leakage or frac-
ture.
