9.9.5 To remove and attach the main belt
1. Remove the rear belt guide for the main belt.
2. Remove the main belt and attach a new belt.
3. Assemble and adjust the belt guide to the lower belt
in the engine belt pulley.
4. Measure the distance between the belt adjuster and
the belt guide. Correct distance is 17 +/- 5 mm. Do a
check of and adjust the belt adjuster.
5. Adjust the belt adjuster with the adjustment screw if
the distance is not 17 +/- 5 mm.
9.9.6 To replace the equipment belt
Note: Remove the equipment belt when you attach a
snow blade on the product.
1. Lower the cutting deck.
2. Remove the front cover. Refer to
To remove the
front cover on page 18
.
3. Loosen the belt tensioner (A).
4. Remove the equipment belt (B) from the cutting
deck.
5. Remove the 2 screws on the intermediate pulley
cover and remove the intermediate pulley cover.
6. Remove the equipment belt from the intermediate
pulley.
7. Pull the equipment belt from the product.
