Repair instructions
7.7 Dismantling the ignition module
and fl ywheel

Loosen the starter with the screws A and B (four
screws).

Loosen the screws D and remove the entire igni-
tion module. Remove the spacers between the
cylinder and the ignition coil, see fi gure 11. Loosen
the electrical cable E and the earthing cable F from
the ignition module C.

Unscrew the spark plug and screw in the piston
stop G.

Loosen fl ywheel nut H with a suitable socket span-
ner and then remove the nut, see fi gures 12 and
13.

Knock on the mandrel J with a suitable metal ham-
mer until the fl ywheel comes off from the shaft.
Remove mandrel and fl ywheel, see fi gure 13.
Cleaning and checking
• Clean all parts, especially the tapers on the
fl ywheel and shafts.
• Check the fl ywheel for cracks and any other da-
mage.
