Function
The carburettor functions differently in the following
modes:
Cold start mode
In cold start mode the choke valve D is completely
shut. This increases the vacuum in the carburettor
and fuel is easier to suck from all the diffuser jets
E, F and G. Throttle valve H is partly open.
Full throttle mode
In full throttle mode both valves are open and fuel
is supplied through all three diffuser jets E, F and
G.
Part throttle mode
In part throttle mode the throttle valve H is partly
open. Fuel is supplied through the diffuser jets F
and G.
Idle mode
In idle mode throttle valve H is shut. Air is sucked
in through an aperture in the throttle valve and a
small amount of fuel is supplied through the dif-
fuser jet F.
