a) Loosen the 4 nuts.
b) Move the brackets to the correct position.
c) Tighten the 4 nuts fully.
d) Make sure that there is no gap between the
grass catcher and the fender.
2. Do the steps that follow to adjust the horizontal
position of the grass catcher.
a) Measure the distance (A) between the fender
and the top of the grass catcher.

b) Remove the grass catcher (B).
c) Loosen the 2 nuts (C).
d) Move the grass catcher frame to the
correct position. The correct distance (A) is
approximately 0.25 in. (6 mm).
e) Tighten the 2 nuts fully.
To install the spring latches for the
grass catcher
The spring latches for the grass catcher are on the
rear plate, 1 at each of the bottom corners.
Note:
If you adjust the vertical position of the
grass catcher, it can be necessary to adjust the
spring latches for the grass catcher.
1. Stop the engine and engage the parking brake.
2. Remove the 4 screws from the spring latches.
3. Install the spring latches (A) in the holes in the
backplate (B).

4. Make sure that the spring latches connect to the
slots (C) in the backplate.
5. Attach the 4 screws (D).
6. Attach the 2 springs (E).

To install and adjust the full lever/
extension for the grass catcher
1. Stop the engine and engage the parking brake.
2. Remove the center discharge chute. Refer to

remove and install the center chute on page 28
.
