LBSM (Lap Bar Sensor Module)
The Smartec HSA (high speed actuated) drive control system consists of two LBSMs (shown in
Figure 5a and 5b). The Lap Bar Sensor Modules (left and right) translate rotational input from
the lap bars positioning via the operator. These angles of position are then communicated to the
Vehicle Integration Module (VIM) which checks the data to ensure it is within confi gured param-
eters.

DSM (Dynamic Stability Assist Module)
The Smartec HSA (high speed actuated) drive control system utilizes a DSM (dynamic stability
assist module) as shown in Figure 6. This module receives power and communication through
the MowNet system to measure roll, pitch, yaw and heading information in order to communicate
machine orientation.
