It may also mean the luminometer was tilted during measurement, the lid is damaged allowing light in, the protective pocket is dirty or scratched, or the luminometer itself is damaged or faulty.

      If your Hygiena Measuring Instruments shows error E6, power the luminometer off and then back on. This error can also indicate failed calibration self-checks, an unstable operating environment, a dirty or scratched protective pocket, a lid that is not fully closed, a damaged lid seal, a damaged protective pocket, or a damaged or faulty luminometer.

      If the measurement result from your Hygiena Measuring Instruments is always zero RLU or much lower than expected, consider the following: ensure correct use of the testing device, make sure the luminometer is upright when taking a measurement, check if the testing device is out-of-date, turn the luminometer off and back on if used in an unstable thermal environment, ensure the protective pocket or testing device is fully inserted, check the protective pocket (it might be dirty, severely scratched, or damaged), or the luminometer may be damaged or faulty.
