2.7.2.3 Linear coverage
This scheme is designed for communication services along the road, railway, river or
coastline. It involves multiple sites and overlapping coverage is present on a small
scale. The overlapped areas share frequencies, but different color codes are
required for roaming service. With this scheme, a user may be within the coverage
of one or two sites at the same time, and it takes about an hour to move from one
site to another.
