Why is my Hytorc Power Tool operating backwards?
    • A
      Andrea BerrySep 12, 2025
If the Hytorc Power Tool operates backward, run test #5 and replumb the system as necessary if the couplings are reversed. If multiple hoses are used in even numbers, be aware that HYTORC hoses may only be joined together in odd numbers. If it is necessary to use 2, 4, or 6 hoses, make an adapter from spare high-pressure couplings and nipples.

What causes the ratchet to return with retract stroke on my Hytorc Stealth?
    • C
      cummingslisaSep 14, 2025
Replace the drive segment and/or spring if the Hytorc Power Tool ratchet returns with the retract stroke due to a broken or otherwise inoperable drive segment.

Why won't my Hytorc Power Tool ratchet take successive strokes?
    • E
      emilyritterSep 16, 2025
If the Hytorc Power Tool ratchet will not take successive strokes, replace the drive segment and/or spring if the drive segment or spring is broken or otherwise inoperative. Remove the tool from the nut and cycle freely for several strokes if the cylinder is not retracting completely. If the problem persists, check the pawls. Replace parts as necessary if the operator is not allowing adequate time for the cylinder to retract fully. Replace parts as necessary if the linkage between the piston rod and drive plates is broken.

Why cylinder pressure will not build in my Hytorc Power Tool?
    • C
      Cindy AllenNov 22, 2025
If the Hytorc Power Tool cylinder pressure will not build, replace any defective parts due to oil blow-by in the tool, such as piston seal leaks, blown O-rings, or cracked pistons. If the pump is the problem, check for a worn sub-plate. Remove the screws from the pump motor to the reservoir, slide the pump motor to the side, turn the pump on, and while holding down the button, put your finger on the dump tube. If you feel pressure, replace the sub-plate and shear seals. Also, check for leaks from the external relief valve and the two oil line connections. Retighten with a 9/16” open-end wrench if leaking. If the pump sounds like pebbles in a tin can, the motor coupling may be worn. Remove the motor from the base plate and use needle-nose pliers to remove the motor coupling; replace if worn...
