Upgrading the switch firmware
After you locate the correct firmware to download to the IBM Flex System FC5022 16Gb SAN
Scalable Switch, you can use either the CLI or Web Tools to perform the download.
The firmware download for the switch is disruptive. Make sure no traffic is flowing through the switch
during the download process.
For specifics on how to perform the firmware download, refer to the following:
• If you are using CLI to perform the download, refer to the chapter, “Installing and Maintaining
Firmware,” in the Fabric OS Administrator’s Guide.
• If you are using Web Tools to perform the download, refer to the chapter, “Maintaining
Configurations and Firmware,” in the Web Tools Administrator’s Guide.
