About this task
CAUTION:
To lift and install the enclosure into the Flex chassis requires at least two people.
Attention: You might be required to install an optional adapter(s) or drives before
installing the enclosures in the Flex System chassis. If your shipment included
either of these optional features, see the Installing optional features topic in the
IBM Flex System V7000 Information Center or in the IBM Flex System V7000 Storage
Node Troubleshooting, Recovery, and Maintenance Guide PDF on the CD shipped with
your system.
Procedure
1. Make sure that the Flex System chassis has been properly prepared for
installing the enclosures. The rails that support the enclosures must be in the
correct positions.
2. Open the enclosure release handles 1 all the way.
3. Install the new enclosure by sliding it into the chassis until the handles begin to
move. Then seat the enclosure completely into the chassis by rotating the
release handles inward until it is locked into position.
