3. Replace the protective cover on the SFP module.
4. Place the SFP module into a static-protective package.
5. Replace the protective cover on the switch port.
6. Repeat this procedure for any additional SFPs, as required.
Removing a wire bale type SFP
Follow the steps below to remove a wire bale type SFP.
1. Unlock the bale (wire handle) by pulling it outwards 90° to release the SFP(see
1 in Figure 23 on page 35).
Note: If there is not enough room because of an adjacent cable and SFP, you
may need to temporarily remove that cable.
