  If the receive audio on your Icom Transceiver is distorted, first, ensure that you have selected a suitable operating mode. If the IF SHIFT function is activated, rotate the SHIFT control to the center position. Also, check if the noise blanker function is activated and, if so, push [NB] to turn it OFF. Similarly, if the preamp is activated, push [P.AMP] to turn it OFF. Finally, if the noise reduction is activated, adjust the [NR] control for maximum readability.
