CONNECTION AND INSTALLATION

qANTENNA CONNECTOR
Connects to an antenna. Ask your dealer about antenna
selection and optimal antenna locations.
wMICROPHONE HANGER
Connects the supplied microphone hanger to the vehicle’s
ground for the hanger function.
eDC POWER RECEPTACLE
Connects to a 12 V DC battery. Pay attention to polarities.
NEVER connect to a 24 V battery. This could damage
the transceiver.
rEXTERNAL SPEAKER JACK
Connects an optional external speaker.
tOPTIONAL CABLE (OPC-617 or OPC-822)
Connects an external modem unit, GPS receiver, printer,
PC, LCD backlight control, audio amplifier for the ‘public
address’ function, etc., according to the installed cable
type.
