A change to Building Regulations (England and Wales) requires the installer to notify
when installing a heating appliance, as from 1st April 2005.

Benchmark Checklist
Choose
Buildings Regulations
notification route
Contact your relevant
Local Authority
Building Control (LABC) who
will arrange an inspection
or contact a government
approved inspector
LABC will record the data
and will issue a
certificate of compliance
If you notify via
Gas Safe Register they will
then notify the relevant
Local Authority Building
Control (LABC) scheme
on members behalf

You must ensure that the
notification number issued by
Gas Safe Register is written
onto the Benchmark Checklist
Gas Safe Register will record the
data and will send a certificate
of compliance to the property
IT IS A CONDITION OF THE
MANUFACTURERS WARRANTY
THAT THE BENCHMARK
COMMISSIONING CHECKLIST IS
FULLY COMPLETED AND LEFT
WITH THE APPLIANCE
