MAINTENANCE
Clean the Fuel Filter Element
* Hot oil and components can cause personal
injury.
* Fuel leaked or Spelled on to hot surfaces can
cause a fire.
The fuel filter is located rear of the engine.
1. Stop the engine.
2. Turn the fuel stop lever

to the “closed” (OFF)
position.
3. Loosen the ring nut

4. Remove the cup

and the element
f
.
5. Drain water and sediment into a suitable
container.
NOTE: Always dispose of drained fluids as
established by local regulations.
6. Clean the inside surface of the cup and the
element

7. Install the clean element

8. Install cup

.Tighten ring nut

9. Turn the fuel stop lever
c
to the “opened” (ON)
position.
NOTE: Do not start the engine until all fuel system
service is completed.
Priming the system
There should be enough fuel in the system to
allow the engine to start. Keep the engine start
switch key at ON for a period of 20 seconds, which
operates the fuel pump and priming automatically.
Change the Coolant
Coolant should be drained and changed every
250 service hours or six months. However, when
adding “Long-Life-Coolant”, the drain period can
be extended to 2 years.
Drain the coolant earlier whenever the coolant is
dirty or foaming is observed.
