      Kathleen JonesJul 30, 2025
If your Instant Fryer isn't turning on, there could be a few reasons: * First, ensure the power cord is firmly plugged into the outlet. * Next, test the outlet by plugging another appliance into it to check if the circuit is working. * Finally, make sure the basket is fully inserted into the air fryer, as it might be preventing the unit from powering on.

Why is black smoke coming from my Instant VORTEX VERSAZONE?

Black smoke coming from your Instant Fryer usually means something is burning that shouldn't be. Here's what to check: 1. You might be using an oil with a low smoke point. If so, cancel the Smart Programme, unplug the cooker, and let it cool. Next time, use a neutral oil with a high smoke point, like Canola or Avocado oil. 2. There could be food residue on the heating coil, in the cooking chamber, or on the accessories. Cancel the Smart Programme, unplug the cooker, and let it cool. Then, remove all accessories and thoroughly clean everything. 3. In rare cases, it could be an appliance malfunction, in which case you should contact Consumer Care.

Why is white smoke coming from my Instant VORTEX VERSAZONE?
    • M
      Michael MaloneAug 18, 2025
White smoke from your Instant Fryer can occur due to several reasons: * If you're cooking foods with a high fat content, like bacon, it can produce white smoke. Try to avoid air frying such foods. Also, check the cooking chamber for excess oil or fat and carefully remove it before air frying. * If water is vaporizing and producing thick steam, pat dry moist food ingredients before air frying. Do not add water or other liquid to the cooking chamber when air frying. * Sometimes, seasoning on food can blow into the element. To prevent this, spray vegetables and meats with oil before seasoning to help the seasoning stick.
