What to do if my Intex Water Pump doesn’t pump water or the flow is very slow?
    • E
      Emily PaulAug 20, 2025
If your Intex Water Pump isn't pumping water or the flow is very slow, start by clearing any obstructions in the intake hose. Check for air leaks on the intake line by tightening hose nuts and inspecting hoses for damage, also ensure the pool water level is adequate. If the pool is excessively dirty, clean the pre-filtering basket more often. Backwash the filter if the sand media is clogged with dirt. Ensure that the nozzle is at the upper position of the pool inlet, and the strainer at the lower position of the pool outlet. If there is crusting or caking on the filtering sand surface, remove about 1” of sand if necessary. Finally, remove any pool vacuuming device attached to the system line.

Why won't my Intex Krystal Clear CS15110 Water Pump filter motor start?
    • D
      Diana LongAug 22, 2025
If your Intex Water Pump filter motor won't start, ensure the power cord is securely plugged into a 3-wire outlet protected by a Class A Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter, or RCD. Also, check if the GFCI/RCD circuit breaker has tripped and reset it. If it repeatedly trips, there may be an electrical system defect requiring an electrician. The motor may also be too hot, in which case you should let it cool down before restarting. Finally, check if the pump is in stand-by/power saving mode.

How to improve cleaning performance of my Intex Water Pump?
    • K
      kristina12Aug 25, 2025
If your Intex Water Pump isn’t cleaning the pool, ensure you are using cyanuric acid. Adjust the chlorine and pH levels. Load the tank with filter sand. Set the valve to the “FILTER” position. If the pool is excessively dirty, operate the filter for longer periods. Use an Intex pool vacuum to clean dirt or sand from the pool floor. Clean the basket if it is restricting the water flow.

How to fix insufficient chlorine in my Intex Water Pump?
    • C
      Cathy GomezAug 28, 2025
If there is insufficient chlorine in your Intex Water Pump, increase the daily Saltwater System operating time. Check the salt level with the Test Kit and adjust as needed if it is less than 2000ppm. Use a pool cover when the pool is not in use and/or when the unit is operating to prevent chlorine loss due to intense sunlight exposure. Increase the daily Saltwater System operating time if the bather load has increased. Remove the cell for inspection and clean it if necessary if the electrolytic cell is clogged or dirty.

How do I fix a 6-way valve/cover leak on my Intex Water Pump?
    • C
      Colleen BrownAug 30, 2025
If the 6-way valve or cover is leaking on your Intex Water Pump, remove the 6-way valve cover and ensure the o-ring is in place. Clean the sand tank o-ring with garden hose water if it is dirty. Tighten the flange clamp with the wrench supplied.

    • N
      Nicholas TranSep 4, 2025
If sand is flowing back into the pool from your Intex Water Pump, use only No. 20 silica sand with a particle size range of 0.45 to 0.85 mm (0.018 to 0.033 inches) and a Uniformity Coefficient less than 1.75. Change the sand if the sand bed is calcified.

How do I remove stains in my pool when using an Intex Krystal Clear CS15110?
    • E
      Elizabeth WilliamsSep 8, 2025
If your pool is stained while using an Intex Water Pump, drain about 20% of the pool water and add fresh water to decrease the copper ion concentration below 0.2ppm. Add aluminum sulfate: 1000 liters water need around 2g (1000 gals need 0.27 ounce) or aluminum potassium sulfate: 1000 liters water need around 3g (1000 gals need 0.4 ounce) to pool. Use a lemon based cleaning product (preferably containing citric acid). Don’t scrub with aggressive cleaning products because this might etch the underlying surface.
