1.SecuretheheadrestclampBontothebackshellusingthe
hardwareprovided.Installtheclampusingtheexistingmounting
holesinthebackshell(oradapterplate).Ifmountingholesare
notprovided,holesmaybecarefullydrilledinthedesiredlocation
usingthemountingplateasatemplate.
AnoptionalspacerplateDwithextendedmountingscrews
maybeinstalledforadditionalclearancewhenneeded.
2.InstallthedesiredheadrestpadJontotheMatrx®Elan
hardwareusingtheheadrestmountingringF,uppermulti-angle
rotationalpivotGandthe3screwsIprovided.
Tightenthehardwarejustenoughtosecuretheheadrest
padinposition,butstillallowforfinal(finetune)angle
adjustmentsviatheupperpivotmechanism.
3.Loosen/removethelowerD-ringCfromtheverticalmounting
postAusingthe2.5mmAllenkeyprovided.
4.SlidetheverticalmountingpostintotheclampassemblyB.
5.Adjusttheoverallheightoftheheadrestpadtothedesired
positionbypositioningtheupperD-ringKonthevertical
mountingpostasrequired.
6.TightenknobLtosecuretheMatrx®Elanhardwareinplace.
7.Adapttheheadresttothedesireddepthandangleaccordingto
theneedsoftheuserbyadjustingthe3linkagesHoftheduallink
adjustmentassemblyusingthe4mmAllenkey,incombination
withtheupperandlowermulti-angle(rotational)pivotsGand
Eusingthe5mmAllenkey.
IMPORTANT
Donotfullyremovetheduallinkadjustment
hardware.
–Forangleadjustmentloosenthescrewsinthelinkages
Hforonlyapprox.1/2turn.Optionalleverhandles
Nareavailableforeasieradjustmentoftheupper
andlowerlinkages.Forinstallationcarefullyremove
onlythemainscrewfromtheupperorlowerlinkage
(leavingthehexinsertinplace),thenscrewthelever
intothehexinsert.
8.Oncethefinalpositionisestablished,fullytightenalllinkagesand
headresthardware.
9.SecuretheLowerD-Ringontotheverticalpostsothatitrests
flushwiththebottomoftheclampassembly.
Ifnecessary,theoveralllengthoftheverticalpostcanbe
modified(cut)inordertopreventanyinterferencealongthe
backoftheseatingsystem.Aftercuttingthepost,theplastic
endcapMinthebottomofthepostcanberemovedand
transferredtothenewlycutpost.
