1.3 Inspecting the Pump Tube
Inspect the pump tube before running a
program. If the pump tube fails, the GLS will
not be able to collect samples.
WARNING
Moving parts can cause injuries. Remove power
before inspecting pump tube.
To inspect the pump tube:
1. Disconnect the power from the 12V Input
Power connector.
2. Remove the pump housing cover by
loosening the four thumbscrews.
3. Visually inspect the pump tube for cracks
where it is compressed by the rollers. If the
tube is cracked, it must be replaced. See
section 3.7.
4. Visually inspect the inside of the pump
housing. The housing and rollers should be
free from debris.
5. Replace the pump housing cover and
tighten the thumbscrews.
Note
The GLS will display a pump tube warning as part of the
View Log screens when it exceeds 500,000 pump
counts.
