1. Verify whether the instrument panel (IP)
cluster is operational.
2. Turn ON the ignition for 30 seconds, with the
engine OFF.
Does the DPD lamp or “AUTO REGEN.”,
“MANUAL REGEN.” indicators turn ON, and
then turn OFF?

1. Inspect engine oil level. Make sure the oil
amount is within a range.
2. Install a scan tool.
3. Start the engine.
4. Observe the DPD Switch parameter with a
scan tool.
Does the scan tool indicate ON and OFF with
each switch transition?
