z Draw the thread from the spool. Hold the upper
thread at the spool with your finger.
q Hold the thread
x Slip the thread under the thread guide from the
right and down along the right channel.
Be sure that the thread passes between the
tension disks.
w Thread guide
e Right channel
r Tension disks
c Then draw the thread around the bottom of the
thread guide plate.
t Thread guide plate
Raise the presser foot.
Press the Up/Down needle
button to raise the thread
take-up lever to its highest
position.

v Firmly draw the thread up along the left channel to
the thread take-up lever and down into its eye from
the right to the left.
y Thread take-up lever
b Then down through the lower threaed guide.

n Slide the thread behind the needle bar thread
guide on the left.
