Corded Buttonhole
*Set the stitch width in accordance with the thickness
of the cord used.
*To cut the opening and to reset for sewing the next
buttonhole, refer to the instructions on page 31.
With the buttonhole foot raised, hook the ller cord
on the cord spur at the back of the buttonhole foot.
Bring the ends toward you under the buttonhole
foot until they clear the front end.
Hook the ller cord info the forks on the front of
the R foot to hold them tight.
Lower the needle into the garment where the
buttonhole will start and lower the foot.
Depress the foot control gently and sew the but-
tonhole.
Each side of the buttonhole and the bartacks will
be sewn over the cord.
Remove the fabric from the machine and cut the
sewing threads.
Pull the left end of the ller cord to tighten it.
Thread the end through a darning needle, draw to
the bottom side of the fabric and cut.
