Corded buttonhole

With the automatic buttonhole foot R raised, hook the ller
cord on the spur at the front of the buttonhole foot.

Spur
Bring the ends of the cord to the rear under the buttonhole
foot clearing the front end.
Bring up the ends of the cord and insert both ends
between the ribs and metal plate.

Metal plate
To sew a corded buttonhole, follow the same procedure
as a sensor buttonhole.
Lower the needle into the fabric where the buttonhole will
start and start sewing.
The sewing procedure is the same as the square (sensor)
buttonhole.
Remove the fabric from the machine.
Cut the ller cord at both ends.
To cut the buttonhole opening, refer to page 56.
NOTE:
Set the stitch width in accordance with the thickness
of ller cord used.
