During normal ‘high speed’ operation the pressure at port A
or B is less than 98 bar (1422 lbf/in

machine load increases, so does the pressure at port A or B.
When the pressure reaches 235 bar (3414 lbf/in

) this overcomes the pilot pressure at port D forcing
spool 186 upwards to produce the condition described
under Low Speed Operation. When the pressure at A or B
falls below 235 bar (3414 lbf/in

under High Speed Operation.
