Fault Finding
A1461-1
Symptom
1 Trencher operates jerkily.
2 Trencher operates slowly.
3 Insufficient digging capacity.
4 Trencher runs in wrong direction.
5 Hydraulic oil leaks.
Remedy
Allow system to warm up
Bleed system
Check Loader Operator Manual.
Check system flows and pressures.
See your JCB Distributor, request flow
and pressure checks.
Change hydraulic filter.
See your JCB Distributor, request flow
and pressure checks.
Reduce digging load because load
exceeds capacity of system.
Check relief valve operating pressure.
Change hoses around.
Refit and reseal motor.
Tighten or replace as needed.
Tighten or replace as needed.
Possible Fault
a Hydraulic oil is cold.
b Air in lines
c Loader hydraulic pump or sys-
tem faulty
a Restriction in lines, couplers or in
loaders hydraulic system.
b Worn, damaged or too small a
hydraulic pump.

undersized.

c Relief valve operates at too low a
pressure.
