Overview

The Jecod D Series Vario Wave Maker is a sophisticated piece of equipment designed to replicate natural sea environments within fish tanks or ponds. It leverages high technology to create an ideal habitat for various marine life. To ensure proper assembly and operation, users are advised to read the manual carefully.

Function Description

The Vario Wave Maker offers a range of advanced features for precise control and enhanced user experience:

  • Bluetooth Wireless Connection APP Control: The device can be conveniently controlled via a dedicated mobile application, allowing for remote adjustments and monitoring.
  • External Drive Controller: Unlike many other pumps, the Vario Wave Maker features an external drive controller, meaning there are no electronic devices inside the pump itself. This design choice contributes to a longer lifespan for the pump.
  • 3D Big Rotation Angle: The pump's output water direction can be adjusted with a wide 3D rotation angle, providing flexibility in creating desired water flow patterns within the tank or pond.
  • Four-Pole Super Quiet Motor: Equipped with a four-pole motor, the wave maker operates with minimal noise, ensuring a peaceful environment for both the aquatic inhabitants and the user.
  • Mini Size, Strong Power: Despite its compact size, the Vario Wave Maker delivers powerful performance, capable of generating significant water movement.
  • Master and Slave Wireless Control: For setups requiring multiple wave makers, the system supports master and slave wireless control. One controller can be designated as the master, controlling all other slave units in the group, simplifying management of complex flow patterns.

Usage Features

The Vario Wave Maker offers intuitive operation through both its physical buttons and the mobile application.

Button Operation:

  • "II" Button: A single press allows users to set Master Control, Slave Control, or operate the pump individually. A long press activates the Feeding mode.
  • "O" Button: A short press turns the pump on or off. A long press resets the Bluetooth connection.
  • MODE/FREQ Button: A short press cycles through different function modes. A long press allows for frequency adjustment within the selected mode.

Control Modes:

  • M1: Classic Wave Pulse Mode: This mode allows one or more pumps to operate simultaneously, generating classic wave pulses. Flow can be adjusted using the "▲" and "▼" keys, while frequency is adjusted with a long press of "MODE/FREQ".
  • M2: Sine Wave Mode: In this mode, one or more pumps operate concurrently, with the flow rate varying from 30% to 100% following a sine curve. Frequency can be adjusted by a long press of "MODE/FREQ".
  • M3: Constant Wave Mode: This mode enables one or more pumps to maintain a constant flow. The flow rate is adjustable using the "▲" and "▼" keys.
  • M4: Random Wave Mode: The system randomly generates wave data, causing the pump power to change irregularly, simulating natural, unpredictable water movements.
  • M5: Classic Wave Cross-flow Mode: Similar to M1, this mode allows one or more pumps to operate simultaneously. Flow is adjusted with "▲" and "▼" keys, and frequency with a long press of "MODE/FREQ".

Special Functions:

  • Feed Mode Function: A long press of the "II" key stops the pump for 10 minutes, allowing for feeding. The pump automatically restarts afterward. To resume operation during feeding, another long press of the "II" key will display the current degree.
  • Key Locking Function: To prevent accidental changes, all function keys can be locked by a long press of the "▲" and "▼" keys until a lock icon appears on the screen. To unlock, repeat the long press until the icon disappears.

APP Download and Instruction:

The dedicated mobile application, "Jebao Aqua," can be downloaded from the APP Store or Google Play. Users can also scan the QR code provided in the manual or on the package.

APP Registration, Login, and Password Reset:

Users need to register an account via email, filling in the required information. After registration, they can log in using their account and password. A "Forgot password" option is available for password reset.

Bluetooth Connection Device:

  1. Enable Bluetooth on the phone and connect the controller to the power supply.
  2. Tap "Add Bluetooth device" or "+" in the upper right corner of the app to search for and add the device.

Pump Control via APP:

From the "Devices" interface, a long press on the device icon (for 2 seconds) enters the device control interface.

  • Manual Mode Settings: A long press on the bottom manual icon (for 2 seconds) enters the manual mode setting interface. Here, users can switch wave-making modes by clicking the "<" and ">" buttons. The middle circle wave-making mode icon allows setting specific flow values and frequencies.
    • Classic Mode: Adjust flow and frequency (minimum 30% flow, 5% frequency). Pulse or circulation can be chosen.
    • Sine Wave Mode: Adjust flow and frequency (minimum 30% flow, 5% frequency).
    • Random Wave Mode: The system randomly generates wave data.
    • Constant Wave Mode: Adjust the flow (minimum 30% flow).
  • Feed Mode: The feeding switch should be turned on. After setting the duration, click "confirm." The pump stops during this period.
  • Timer Mode: A long press on the "Timer" icon (for 2 seconds) enters the Timer setting.
    • Double-click the blank area of the ring or use the switch button to add a plan time period automatically.
    • Choose the work mode for the plan period.
    • Drag the slider or directly modify the start and end times.
    • Click "finish" to save the plan.
    • Clicking "delete" removes the current scheduled period.
  • Linkage Mode Setting: In the device control interface, click "Linkage" to enter linkage settings. For two or more wave pumps, one is set as the main control, and others as slave controls. Only the main control's functions are adjusted, and the slave controls follow. The main control offers timing and manual functions, similar to individual settings.
  • Group Control Functions:
    1. Add a group: Tap "+" on the home page, select "Add group," choose devices, tap "Next," then select "Aquascape" and name the group.
    2. Manage group: Press the group icon for two seconds to enter the grouping page. Tap "Settings" to enter the grouping control page, which operates similarly to single wave maker control.
    3. Add/Delete devices in a group: Tap the small "..." icon in the upper right corner.
  • Pump Management: On the device's control page, tap the icon in the upper right-hand side to access device management. Here, users can "Set time," rename the device, and "Delete" it.
    • Set Time: The factory time may not be accurate, so users should calibrate the time via the "set time" option when first using program mode.
    • Rename/Delete Device: Users can change the device name for easier management or delete the device.

Maintenance Features

Regular maintenance is crucial for ensuring the longevity and optimal performance of the Vario Wave Maker:

  1. Controller Cleaning: Clean the controller regularly to maintain good performance.
  2. Controller Surface: If water splashes on the controller surface, wipe it with a dry cloth to prevent water from entering the unit.
  3. Pump Waste Removal: To remove waste from the pump, rotate the basket anti-clockwise to open it and clockwise to lock it.
  4. Blade Cleaning: Use a soft cloth to rub the blade and clean any dirt from the pump.
  5. Indoor Use Only: This product is designed for indoor use only and should not be submerged in water to avoid damage and unnecessary loss.
