6 Display Operation
(only spectraval 1511)
6.1 Taking a Measurement
This section describes how to get started by taking a quick measurement. Note that
some of the references to buttons and lights are describes in the previous sections.
• Turn on the spectraval 1511 by pressing the On/Off switch. The green status LED
will illuminate.
• The spectraval 1511 will initialize and then the following screen will display:

Browser Meas Button
Context
Target
Status bar
• Optionally, the measuring area can now be marked by clicking the Target Icon.
• Aim the laser point by pointing the measuring head on the front of the device in
the direction of light. Press the Measurement button.
• The results will be instantly displayed on the screen:
