ADVICE!
Any combination of switching voltage and switch-
ing current must not exceed the max. switching
capacity.
For the device to function, the series resistor (3)
must be designed in line with the sensor (1) and
indicator light (2) specifications, so as not to over-
load these components.
LEDs with a series resistor should preferably be
used: The operating current of the LED is stated
in the data sheet. If the operating current of a
24 V LED is specified as 20 mA, for example, the
max. switching capacity can be calculated as 28 V
(end-of-charge voltage in a commercial vehicle) x
0.02 A. The 0.56 VA determined in this example is
below 20 VA, and therefore no additional resistor is
required.
Check the function of the device to verify that the
indicator light works as intended when the second
lock is activated.
Closed status must be indicated by a green light, as
a minimum.
The open, unlocked status can be displayed by a
red light.
The remote display must go out or be covered
while the truck is being driven, so as not to irritate
other road users.
ADVICE!
The remote display must be positioned in close
proximity to the remote control.
All electronic components must be protected
against harmful environmental influences such as
moisture and corrosion.
