3.4 Installing the remote control
1 Compressed air tank 4 3/2-way valve
2 Pneumatic hoses 5 On/Off switch
3 Pneumatic cylinder 6 Lock
1. Connect the pneumatic hoses (2) as shown in the connection
diagram.
2. Use a 3/2-way valve (4) to ensure the cylinder (3) functions
correctly.
3. Fit the switch (5) for activating the cylinder via the pneumatic
valve.
4. Secure the switch, e.g. with a lock, to prevent unauthorised
or unwanted access.
5. Position the handle of the second lock (see 4 "Operation",
page 13) in the immediate vicinity of the On/Off switch.
ADVICE!
The fifth wheel coupling must be clearly visible
from the remote control device.
To make sure the second safety latch resets, the
rope mechanism must not be obstructed.
The remote control must bear a label indicating
and explaining its function.
Use components that are resistant to environmen-
tal influences, e.g. ensure protection against mois-
ture and corrosion.
